Who We Are

The Headley Carter Cares Foundation (HCCF) is a 501 (c) (3) charitable organization that advocates for school-age children identified by their school systems as having social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.

These children are too often invisible to society, disconnected from mainstream opportunities because of their behavior and limited finances. The Foundation is committed to enriching their lives by providing access to after-school and community activities.

While most of these children have above-average IQs, their environments impact the way they see themselves in the world. We focus on their strengths rather than on their challenges. HCCF serves as a bridge to help children in need access resources in their communities.

Mission Statement

Our Mission is to support children with emotional and behavioral needs by:

  • Empowering children with academic, social and behavioral challenges to succeed.

  • Bridging the financial gap for families in need.

  • Engaging children and their families by providing access to school and community resources.

Vision Statement

Our vision is to unlock the potential in children we serve so they reach academic excellence and maintain active engagement in the community.

Meet Our Board

Members of the Board of HCCF are our ambassadors and advocates, working to ensure that the Foundation’s activities and transactions advance its mission; and making decisions that are in the best interest of HCCF and the children and families we serve. Equally important, our Board contributes to the organization’s culture, strategic focus, effectiveness, and financial sustainability.
